2011 Phi Delta Chi Pledging - What to Expect
Projects
As Gamma Gamma Pledges, you'll complete 3 projects in 3 important areas of fraternal life. These projects, while not overly difficult, present pledges with an opportunity to stand out, become leaders and bond as Brothers!
Social Project
Easily the easiest and most fun pledge project! The Pledge Class will plan and host a "social gathering" open to the entire student body. Past Socials have included a movie night and a bonfire, which was a HUGE success in spite of the weather! The Zeta Pledge Class hosted the first ever ACP Faculty Roast!

Fundraising
The pledge class with the guidance of the WMA and the Brotherhood will plan and execute a fundraiser of any kind. Past fundraisers have included a Pancake Breakfast hosted at Applebees and offering a "Dinner From All Around the World" which provided food from different countries including Cameroon, Ireland, Vietnam, and India. Proceeds donated to charity have made this event PICS eligible!!
Professional
A professional project lets the pledges flex their pharmacy muscles! During this project the pledges will reach out to the community as student pharmacists and offer information or counseling on a topic of interest. This project is definitely health-related PICS eligible! Past projects have included an OTC informational presentation at a local community center and an Asthma/COPD display shown at many locations in the region!

Meetings with your friendly neighborhood WMA
The Pledges will meet weekly with the Worthy Master at Arms at a time designated by the Pledges. Ryan Beltz, our WMA, lives nearby the school and will be super accessible and eager to work with the Pledges regarding their Fraternal Education! Page 15 will be your best friend :)
The Big Show: Initiation!!
This whole experience culminates in our Ritual Initiation! Not to go into too much detail, its kind of secret, Initiation is a half day long event where the pledges are introduced to the Traditions of Phi Delta Chi. This will most likely take place before Christmas Break '11 and will be worked out between the WMA and the Pledge Class president. Initiation reflects us as a Professional Pharmacy Fraternity and is a really cool end to the Pledging Process!
